Pride of place goes to 15 year-old Alex Royle (Coveryourcar.co.uk) who entered the record books on Saturday when he broke the juveniles 10-mile record.
Riding and winning the Yorkshire CF `10` on the V718 at South Cave Royle knocked 17 seconds off of the old record with his 19-56.
Jason Young (City RC Hull) was second to Royle with 20-00 while Andy Jackson (Pedalsport) took third with 20-03.
Royle had already got close to the record two days earlier when he returned a 20-14 in the East Bradford event.
The record-breaking youngster bettered the time of 20-13 set by Ceri Pritchard back in 1993.
Royle has a 56-56 `25` to his credit and a 2-07-09 `50`, both recorded last season.
The Sussex CA `50` added to Steve Dennis’s tally, the East Grinstead CC star winning with 1-51-56 from Dave Shepherd (Liphook Cycles), 2-00-08.
Paul Shalliker (Coveryourcar.co.uk) fastest in the Preston Wheelers event his 2-00-35 putting him 1-17 clear of Matt Stell of the promoting club.
The BDCA `50` saw Mark Redwood (VC Long Eaton) score a decisive victory with a 2-03 advantage over runner-up Robert Gray (Loughborough Phoenix) with his 1-55-13.
Paul Dring (Echelon Spuik) was well clear of the opposition in the Bynea CC `50` with his 1-54-55. Ian Rivers (Hereford & District Wheelers) was second in 1-59-41.
Heavy rain and the resultant spray caused the cancellation of the Oxonian `50`.
The rain put of a lot of riders at the weekend, Hitchen Nomads `25` had 37 DNS and the Newark Castle `25` 21. Tony Parkes (North Bucks RC) won the Hitchen event with 57-38 while Matt Sinclair (Leicestershire RC) was best at Newark with 54-29.
Alan Cook (Ross on Wye CC) had a 1-01 wining margin in the Corinium CC `25` over Paul Davis (St Ives CC) with his 51-25.
A substantial winning margin saw Jerome Walters (Sigma Sport) triumph in the West London CA `30`. Walters 1-05-31 put him well clear of Mark Brambleby (Northover Vets), second on 1-09-15.
Crabwood CC’s 10s on Saturday were well supported with Peter Kench (GWR Team) best of the under-40s with 21-05; Susan Shook (Bush Healthcare), 24-37, won the women’s event; Julian Jenkinson (Utag-Yamaha) clocked 20-42 for the 40-50 year-old riders event while Ray Hughes (Clarence Wheelers) has 46 seconds in hand over former professional Reg Smith (DCB Kent) with is 21-00 in the 50+ event.
Martin Garner (I-Ride RT), 20-48, claimed the Heanor Clarion CC `10` 32 seconds ahead of Mark Shardlow (Derby Mercury RC).
Lancaster CC `10` saw last year’s junior 25-mile champion Richard Handley (KUK Kinisis) finishing third behind Derek Parkinson (Cleveleys RC) and John Morgan (Preston Wheelers).
