Multi-BBAR Kevin Dawson (Stratigic Lions) heads the entry in the Birdwell Wheelers `25` on Saturday along with Philip Graves (Clifton CC) and Michael Lamb (Kiveton Park CC). The women’s entry includes Rachael Eyre (Kiveton Park CC) and Alex Deck (RS Trigon). Lone tandem is crewed by Team Swift’s Pete Read and Richard Dixon.
Ian Cammish (Soniccycles.co.uk) tries to repeat his 2011 success in the VTTA (East Anglian) `25` on the Newmarket course. Peter Balls (West Suffolk Wheelers), LeeTurner (La Fuga-Sigma Sport), Reg Smith (data team allstars), Gary Rushmore (Kings Lynn CC), Dave Pitt (Charlotteville CC) and Carole Gandy (PM Racing) also ride.
The VTTA (Notts & East Midlands) `25` includes Lee Tunnicliffe (Clay Cross RT), Andy Proffitt (Arctic SRAM RT) and Ian Dalton (Cherry Valley RT) in its line-up.
Team Milton Keynes 15-mile time trial at Marston Moretaine has Antony Stapleton (Chelmer CC) and Michael Broadwith (Shorter Rochford RT) among the competitors.
Sunday’s Ogmore Valley Wheelers 25-mile promotion at Rhigos sees Michael Hutchinson (In Gear Quickvit-Trainsharp) in action and looking to improve on his winning 48-15 last year. Adam Topham (High Wycombe CC), Simon Harradine (Team Echelon Rotor), Rob Pears (Bath CC), Andy Bason (Team Pedal Revolution), Jerone Walters (VC St Raphael) and Scott Burns (Manchester Wheelers) will be trying to keep their deficit on Hutchinson to the minum. Lynne Taylor and Clare Ella (Born to Bike), Michelle King (Team Jewson) and Lynn Hamel (Herbalife) are among the women riding.
Addiscombe CC `25` has Richard Simmonds (London Dynamo), Graeme Stirzaker (a3crg), Steve Dennis (East Grinstead CC), Lee Turner, Joe Perrett (Ciclos Uno) and Richard Gifford (In Gear Quickvit Trainsharp) chasing the top spots.
Wigan Wheelers 30-mile time trial at Winmorleigh, near Garstang, has the on-form Mark Holton (drag2zero) as favourite.
Mark Arnold (Team Pedal Revolution), Glenn Taylor (Shorter Rochford RT) and John Iszatt (TeamVision Racing) ride at Great Bromley in the Colchester Rovers `50`.
Teesdale CRC 40-mile hilly at Barnard Castle stars 2011 winner Joel Wainman (Team Swift) challenged by Dominic Munnelly and John Tuckett (Blumilk.com), Andy Wilkinson (Port Sunlight Wheelers), Richard Meadows (Velo 29) and Keith Murray (Ferryhill Wheelers).
Another out to repeat a 2011 win is Matt Clinton (Mike Vaughan). He rides the popular Beacon RC 39-mile hilly, which has attracted a full field (91 entries through the new CTT Internet System) that also includes Dean Robson (Somerset RC), Steve Berry (Team Swift), Matthew Purshouse (Warwickshire RC) and Danny Axford (Arctic SRAM RT). An impressive women’s entry has Rebecca Slack (London Dynamo) and Isla Bikes Isla Rowntree and Louise Robinson and Marina Bloom (Born to Bike) listed.
